Amazon One, the first cargo plane is here!!

Running an online business, every seller tries to optimize on their fulfilment costs by connecting with the right shipping companies at the right time.

On the other hand, Multi-channel Fulfilment service by Amazon is helping multi-channel sellers an ability to adopt swift and trusted Amazon shipping and fulfilment capabilities for their other sales selling channels too.

Speedy delivery- Key for eCommerce success

Using FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) and MCF (Multi-channel Fulfilment Service– an option feature by FBA), online sellers don’t have to worry about dealing with inventory and processing customer’s orders. Their products are stocked in Amazon warehouses from where Amazon processes customer’s order using one-day, two-day, or, even standard delivery options as per the seller’s requirements.

Amazon Prime Air- A step further in enhancing your customer’s shopping experience

It’s been over two years when CEO Jeff Bezos revealed its plan for Amazon Prime Air for the first time. It was believed that Amazon was determined to ensure safe delivery of customer’s orders via unmanned aerial vehicles, also called a drone.

However, the idea of delivery by drones may not be here anytime soon for as there are plenty of test and regulations involved to offer the program live.

The good news is, Amazon showcased its first ever branded air cargo plan at Seattle’s SeaFair Air Show, Aug 5, 2016. The airplane, named Amazon One, is one of 40 that Amazon has agreed to lease through air cargo partners Atlas Air and ATSG.

What does it mean for sellers?

Instead of switching over popular carriers for comparing shipping rates and fulfilling each of your customer’s order, separately- is helping its Prime sellers to offer fastest delivery experience and expand supply chain capacity for years to come.

There are currently 11 dedicated airplanes flying for Amazon as of today with additional airplanes rolling out over time!!
